Painted in watercolor, this is a portrait of a Kea parrot I saw in New Zealand. He landed on a flax plant near my hotel room to munch. He was picking flowers off of this plant and flinging them on the ground. They are a notoriously raucous species of parrot and he was very entertaining to watch.
